Telugu Times Takes Partner, Celebrates Milestone

Dublin, Mar 25, 2008 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Telugu Times, the first global Telugu newspaper published in the US since February 2004, has completed 4 successful years of publication and partnered with CineMaya Media Group, a South Asian Media - Entertainment - Marketing services company in North America.

CineMaya, now the Publishing Partner of Telugu Times, has taken an equity stake in Telugu Times, and will now handle advertising sales, editorial content generation, distribution, marketing, and brand development in North America. The new joint Hyderabad office for Telugu Times and CineMaya Media Group will provide back-end processes, editorial, online, and sales from India, and provide a platform to expand CineMaya's overall business within the region.

A celebratory anniversary event was held at the pool side lawns of Club Jayabheri in Hyderabad, on the evening of Saturday, March 15. Those in attendance included advertisers, advertising agencies, marketing persons, political and film personalities, the Honorable Atluti Subba Rao, President of The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and film star turned real estate baron Murali Mohan, amongst others.

The Non Resident Telugu Community is the fastest growing community amongst Indians in the US with an estimated population of over 500,000. Telugus play an active role in the American economy and maintain a close bond with their homeland Andhra Pradesh, India.

Jayaram Komati, Chairman, Telugu Times Media said, "We are very happy that Telugu Times has been able to flourish by completing its fourth successful year and has become an important brand among the Telugu families in the US. We are excited that our partnership with CineMaya Media Group will allow us to expand our reach and presence within the community."

Komati is a restaurateur and owner of the Swagat Group of Restaurants, and is a well-known community leader in the US. He is also the President Elect for the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), a nationwide umbrella body of the Telugu community in USA.
